Out of the top 15 or so that are listed the headscratchers are Duke Johnson and Ameer Abdullah. If LSU’s Jeremy Hill could get enough carries he could be a contender (of those not listed). Also a bit surprise there is no Sammy Watkins (Clemson). With Nuke Hopkins going pro he’s going to have a lot of balls coming his way. Todd Gurley (Georgia) is another guy that could be in the mix if Georgia catches fire as he is the SEC’s leading returning rusher at the RB position and led all SEC RBs last season. And…don’t forget NIU’s Jordan Lynch came in 7th in last years vote.
