That did not go well! For the first time since very early in the season, I had a losing week. In fact, I took the golden sombrero and went 0-3. Despite the bad weekend, it was a very good regular season as I went 25-17.

The Big Ten Championship game is set for Saturday in Indianapolis and it is a rematch as Ohio State takes on Wisconsin. My pick for the game is below and keep in mind, I’ll have two separate bowl game picks articles prior to Christmas to hopefully close out the year.

Ohio State (-16.5) vs. Wisconsin and OVER 53 – 8:00 on FOX

The Buckeyes and Badgers met in October and Ohio State thrashed Wisconsin in Columbus, 38-7. They outgained Wisconsin 431 to 191 and held the Badgers to only 83 rushing yards. I love the Buckeyes in this game and I think they are going to win by 20+ but I also like the over because Wisconsin’s offense has figured some things out over the past few weeks. They put up 37 at Nebraska, 45 against Purdue and an impressive 38 at Minnesota to win the West. The Badgers are actually being fairly creative and they have opened up the offense a bit to let Jack Coan make some plays. He is proving to be up to the task. Do you think there is any way the Badgers can hold this Wisconsin offense under the mid-30s? I certainly don’t. If that’s the case, Wisconsin only has to reach 17 or so to make sure this goes over. Coan will need to have a good day and they’ll need to continue to be creative on offense plus the offensive line will need to give the offense a chance against this Ohio State defense. I don’t see any way the Buckeyes are slowed down by Wisconsin’s defense. We’ve seen them matchup on the field and the speed and athleticism difference is stark. Take the Buckeyes and the over.
