Only two years after winning a national championship, Auburn stumbled to a inconceivable 3-9 record (0-8 in conference play) in 2012 and head coach Gene Chizik was let go. Today Aaron Brenner, the Auburn beat writer for the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer and their War Eagle Extra blog, helps us with our 2013 spring preview of the Tigers.

    This Gus Malzahn experiment is going to be fun to watch. IMO, he’s a heck of a coach. Keeping up w/ the Jones’ (mostly Alabama) could be his downfall. I would hope Auburn gives him time to rebuild. They have some talent there, so he should at least get them back to 8-4 very quickly.
