This is some great information OpeningLine. Thanks for sharing. I love this site because of its focus on college football betting. Great insight by everyone.

I do have a question on the Georgia quick hitter. Are you suggesting that Georgia will be looking ahead to Florida next week? Would you recommend a play on Kentucky or are you just warning georgia backers to be careful in this spot?

Thanks for commenting, Kiel. I’m glad you find the information useful.

Georgia certainly has the talent to steamroll Kentucky and easily cover the 28 point spread. Sometimes in these lopsided games you have to consider the motivation of the favorite. Georgia will treat this game like a scrimmage, more or less, with the Gators on deck next weekend. Mark Richt will likely pull his starters early if he builds a reasonable lead, which could open up a backdoor cover for UK.

If you recall, in week 5 a very explosive South Carolina team traveled to Kentucky one week prior to their big showdown against Georgia. The Gamecocks found themselves down by 10 going into the half. Ultimately, they rallied late to win by 21, as Kentucky didn’t have any gas left in the tank towards the end.

To answer your question, I am merely warning people who are giving a strong look at Georgia simply because of the talent disparity. I really can’t recommend Kentucky as a play due to their shaky QB situation, in which they have an erratic, inconsistent freshman starting.
