jimmyshivers Week 8 ACC Football Selections

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - OCTOBER 13: Quarterback Phillip Sims #14 of the Virginia Cavaliers fumbles the ball after being hit by linebacker Darin Drakeford #52 of the Maryland Terrapins at Scott Stadium on October 13, 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia. (Photo by Geoff Burke/Getty Images)
An abbreviated week of ACC football that saw only 8 teams in action produced a surprisingly predictable set of results, with three favorites winning and UVA’s self-inflicted freefall continuing unabated. While I expected this regression somewhat from Virginia, they are playing like a team that doesn’t have much confidence in their leadership. When bad things happen to them, they really seem to happen in bunches, and their never-ending quarterback roulette really isn’t helping.

Jimmy — awesome writeup on Maryland. Looking at jumping on them myself, except by time I do analysis, I will lose some line value. Think ML is even a play here honestly.
Think you’re due for a turnaround in CFB. Been on the right side with alot of bad beats.
BOL this week bud, all I can do is put myself in situations that I like and hope for the best. I expect it to turn around at some point in the very near future.
Jimmy, check out the bottom of this article!

Actually wanted to take NC ST at pk so i was surprised to see what the line came out at…although i caution you that the oddsmakers might be trying to tell you something by making the visitor a fav in a game with two teams with the same records
I’m on u45 as i see this as a 17-13/20-7 type game
good luck
Was expecting to see UMd a small favorite here, I felt like part of the reason State opened -4.5/-5 was their reputation for being a 2nd half of the season team under TOB. Wolfpack always seems to drop a couple of games against teams their better than, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they dropped it against a Maryland team that certainly seems to be living right these days.
Really tempted with that under, Wolfpack defense appears to have steadied the ship and Maryland’s offensive struggles are well documented. Stay hot this week Trent..
I just felt that Mary is living on borrowed time and NC ST might have gotten the shot in the arm after that thrilling come from behind victory over FSU…not to mention that i just think they are a better team and giving TOB an extra week to prepare would enhance my probability of a W…not gonna lay the pts though so was looking for a pk…
btw- that total is now down to 44
