Sabres/Senators:

The Buffalo Sabres will look to rebound from the ugly loss they endured on Tuesday, as they gave up a last minute goal and lost in Overtime against the Calgary Flames. Today, they look to take advantage of the bottom feeding Ottawa Senators that have now lost four games in a row.

The Ottawa Senators started off the season quite promising, but it is becoming clear that this team is headed for a rebuild. The team went winless on this last road trip, including the most recent being a 5-1 blowout loss in Arizona. Today, they skip over two time zones back east in hopes of a decent home game against a division rival.

The Buffalo Sabres saw their first time in five games where they scored less than 4 goals, and it is fair to assume that Calgary proved to be a fork in the road. Now that they head on the road, Buffalo will be looking to get back to their scoring ways, but chances are that their rhythm was disrupted on Tuesday.

What I see here is a Senators team that is going to realize that jetlag is having an effect on their effectiveness early. In doing so, Boucher will have the team take a defensive and opportunistic approach, especially being well aware of how potent this Sabres offense was lately. I see a very low scoring game coming down to no more than 4 goals.
