I mentioned yesterday that ETSU was the class of this conference aside from the last few regular season games, and they can lock themselves into the big dance with one more win here. These two split two in the regular season each winning on their home court and here will determine who enters the bracket. Both teams play very good defense, but ETSU has been a much more consistent team offensively. I like the experience edge in favor of ETSU as well. The Cellular Center is only an hour drive from ETSU, so expect plenty of support from ETSU at this arena much like the previous two games.

There two teams on paper fly up and down the court, but the issue is in conference tourney play, pace has been much slower and defense from both teams has been much better. In the conference championship here, I expect both teams to continue clamping down on defense, forcing tough shots for 40 minutes. This number requires both teams to shoot very well, and I’ll ride the defenses in this one in a close game that will require defense intensity to be at its best.
