I agree 100% with your assessment here, Pez, but I wish 5DIMES would give us better odds than what they are giving. The only way they allow you to bet on this is to take Utah OVER 7.5 at -180. I mean, Utah over 7.5 is a good bet as you have layed out here in your article, BUT who wants to tie up that kind of money for 3 or 4 months?
Damn BS, maybe the article influenced a bunch of people to wager the Utes. HA!
When I wrote the article they were -125 and I wagered them soon thereafter at 5Dimes:
Props Football 18621 Utah total wins over 7½ -125*
It doesn’t take much to move these early season lines, so maybe it comes back down.
I think you nailed it with Utah. This is one my “Spread Beaters” this season. Everything is right with this team. Well coached, good solid QB returning, top 20 defense. And strong in the trneches. Plus a little under the radar being picked 3rd in their division. Considering they had only 12 returning starters last year and taking a step up to a new conference, along with their QB being knocked out the last 9 games of the season, I thought they did very well getting to 7-5. I would be surprised if they won under 8 games this year. And 9 is a real possibilty.
