East Division

1. Ohio State 9-1 (6-0)Will the committee give the Buckeyes credit for beating a ranked team on the road in the freezing cold snow? Ohio State should have ran away from Minnesota, but turnovers let the Gophers back in the game.

Coming Up: Nov.22nd vs. Indiana- The Buckeyes haven’t lost to the Hoosiers since 1988. That is not going to change in 2014 and Ohio State will clinch the division title.

2. Michigan State 8-2 (5-1)The Spartans cruised to victory over the Terps, but are just an OSU win over IU away from being eliminated in the East.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– vs. Rutgers- The Spartans maybe scoreboard watching to see if the Hoosiers can shock the universe and pull off a win. However, they should be able to take care business against the Scarlet Knights

3. Maryland 6-4 (3-3)Maryland was soundly beaten by Michigan State this weekend, but has a chance for their first big time Big Ten win when they invade the Big House next week.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– at Michigan- The Terps make the trip to Ann Arbor and while Michigan has been better of late, this game should be fun to watch.

4. Michigan 5-5 (3-3)Michigan was hit with more bad news this week as defensive end Frank Clark was dismissed from the team after getting arrested and charged for domestic violence. Can they recover and become bowl eligible or will this season spiral further down the drain?

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– vs. Maryland- Michigan has a chance to get to six wins and get to a bowl game, but another issue arose this week, and Brady Hoke is likely gone. With two games left, is it time to check out?

5. Penn State 6-4 (2-4)The Nittany Lions are going to a bowl game! Yes, beating Temple is not that impressive but the Lions got that much needed six win.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– at Illinois- Penn State can get to seven wins and increase the chance of getting to a better bowl destination with a win over Illinois. This game could be as ugly as the one two weeks ago in Bloomington.

6. Rutgers 6-4 (2-4)And Rutgers is bowl eligible after dismantling Indiana 45-23 for their sixth win of the year.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd at Michigan State- And it’s right back to the big boys for Rutgers. Traveling to East Lansing will be tough, especially if Nova is pressured.

7. Indiana 3-7 (0-6)Tevin Coleman ran for 307 yards and Zander Diamont had his best game to date, but the Hoosiers still lost by 22 points.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd at Ohio State- Indiana has not won in Columbus since 1987. That’s all that really needs to be said here.

West Division

1. Wisconsin 8-2 (5-1)Melvin Gordon is really, really good.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– at Iowa- The Badgers could lock up the West this week with a win.

2. Nebraska 8-2 (4-2)They couldn’t stop Melvin Gordon and got rolled in Madison. Is Bo Pelini on the hot seat again?

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– vs. Minnesota- The Huskers return home this week after a big time loss. Minnesota features another good running back in David Cobb. Can the Huskers hold him to under an NCAA record day?

3. Minnesota 7-3 (4-2)The Gophers put up the good fight in the snow against Ohio State, but just couldn’t take advantage of opportunities.

Coming Up: Nov.22nd at Nebraska- David Cobb must be licking his chops this week after Melvin Gordon’s performance. The Gophers can make a mark of staying power with a win in Lincoln.

4. Iowa 7-3 (4-2)– Iowa handled Illinois on the road to get back on the winning track. The up and down Hawkeyes will have their work cut out for them Saturday against Wisconsin though.

Coming Up: Nov.22nd vs. Wisconsin- Can the Hawkeyes stop Melvin Gordon? Probably not.

T-5. Purdue 3-7 (1-5) Purdue is playing much better than their record indicates and is on the upswing.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd Purdue faces a Northwestern squad who just shocked Notre Dame in South Bend.

T-5. Northwestern 4-6 (2-4) Bowl eligibility is right there for the taking after an over time win over the Irish. They have two very winnable games left on the schedule.

Coming Up: Nov.22nd at Purdue- The Wildcats need this one to keep the bowl hopes alive. A bowl would be a great accomplishment after this season

7. Illinois 4-6 (1-5)Tim Beckman said Illinois would have beat Iowa if they held them scoreless…but they didn’t.

Coming Up: Nov. 22nd– vs. Penn State- The Illini could win this one too if they hold the Nittany Lions scoreless.
