The Alabama Dynasty

I cover the SEC for this site primarily, and I frankly know the conference better than any other. I am impartial to the conference for many reasons. Lets be real, the SEC is best, and everyone should be convinced of that for the 7th time now.

    Sabert,

It is Ironic that I waited until that exact moment when the Bama players walked by ND like a 50 horse mule train to double my bet on the Tide even though the line has risen to 10, I felt the same vibe. Thanks for the write up! BTW.. I can’t wait for the -2 1/2 line next year at A & M, you can believe General Saban will use that game as motivation for the next eight months.

Thanks for the info this year…

Was a crazy moment. I couldn’t imagine being the ND players in that situation. Glad you doubled your bet on the tide.

NExt year at A&M is a huge game. I think Saban will be ready this time as will the boys. The Tide will be coming off a bye. If both teams are undefeated, which they should be, that line will definitely be around pk to 2.5. IS going to be a huge game.

Can’t wait til next year, thanks for following.

Congrats on a great year! I’m from Ohio, so I know all about St. X.

That Alabama/A&M game is week 3 next year I believe.

I agree with everything you wrote. Of all the Bowl games; in my mind; this was the easiest to predict. Look at their one common opponent from last year…Michigan. Bama ran (and threw) them out of the stadium and ND was inherently lucky as Michigan turned the ball over numerous times inside the red zone and they won by a TD. The guy I feel the worst for in the aftermath of this game is Manti Te’o as he probably lost hundreds of thousands of dollars looking like a schoolboy at the hands of the bigger talented Tide players. Get used to being punched in the mouth Manti…you were exposed on Monday night! Slow and undersized does not last long in the NFL.

Thanks to all of you for a fun year.

Teo went from late 1st round to 3rd round pick IMO opinion based on NC game, he still is a high character guy and a great teammate so that will help immensely considering the mindset of GM’S in the NFL. While he may have lost a couple million because of that game RB Lacey for BAMA is definitely in the 1st round now. I also read Kiper’s mock draft list and he had Barrett Robbins OL for BAMA going late in 1st round. NO WAY he gets past top ten, he is a plug and play for ten years and also a huge character guy. I still believe A & M got BAMA right after LSU (huge emotional letdown) and caught a break there, think it will be a different deal come next September.

    Was a great year!

First off, let me take this opportunity to thank all you guys working on the site for your useful articles and for your love of the game — which I share as well. Great site and I look forward to seeing it go forward from here.

As for the National Championship game, there is no doubt that Alabama was the best team in the game. BUT, wouldn’t it be great if we were in the 4 team playoff system and could be anticipating a final game between Alabama and Oregon next week? In my opinion, seeing what I have seen from the results of this bowl season, those are the two teams that should have been playing for the NC (of course, I thought this at the close of the regular season). Can we agree once again that the BCS system flunked?
