Oilers/Senators:
In a matchup between two eliminated teams, I am going to bank on the emotional factor in this one.
A couple days ago, Senators Captain Erik Karlsson was hit with the news that his unborn child had died, and this was a shock to the core to the entire Ottawa organization shortly before their 7-2 loss against Florida.
Today, they have had time to compose themselves and come to play for their captain.
Unfortunately, the Oilers have already been a victim of being an opponent facing an Ottawa team dealing with another bad event to a Senator’s family member, but at least this game will not mean anything to Edmonton.
Senators moneyline +115 1*
Kings/Avalanche:
It is crunch time, and the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche are both right in the thick of the playoff race, and this means a lot of pressure.
The Avalanche have turned a lot of heads this year, especially with Nate MacKinnon’s Hart-like performances. The Kings have been looking to familiar approaches of a more defensive game, as they look to secure a playoff spot too.
In the high altitude of Denver, expect the Kings to be even more defensive with the short shift adjustment. This should be a very low scoring game.
UNDER 5.5 -115 2*
