TSE College Basketball goes 14-7 week #1 of March Madness 2015
March Madness 2015
The Saturday Edge college basketball handicapping team went 14-7 (67%) during the opening week of March Madness 2015.
The boys started off the The Big Dance going 5-4 last Thursday and 5-3 on Friday, and it seemed like nearly every game was determined on the final possession. Several of the games went into overtime.
Adam (@smithers513) led the way on Thursday going 3-1. Greg (@onlybestbets) won his only selection of the tournament thus far with Cincinnati (+2) beating Purdue 66-65 in OT. The Bearcats were down 7 points with 45 seconds remaining. I didn’t think this one had a prayer.
Brandon (@vegaslinebeater) started the tournament off going 1-3 on Thursday, losing an absolute heart breaker on Stephen F. Austin +6.5, as Utah buried their last two free throws to end the game 57-50.
But Brandon has been on an absolute terror since then, going 3-1 on Friday (losing by .5 point when ironically, Wichita State missed their final free throw against Indiana), 2-0 on Saturday, and 2-0 again on Sunday.
Chris (@Ccon8181) lost his only wager of the tournament so far on Georgia +6 losing a tight one, 70-63 to Sparty.
Fun, Fun, Fun
As you guys all know I am not a huge college basketball fan, but I must admit, this first week of March Madness 2015 has been fun.
With nearly every game I wagered on the first two days coming down to the wire, I didn’t have any fingernails left to chew on. I even sent Brandon a tweet saying as much and asking if he could deliver a few blowouts.
He did not disappoint with Iowa -2 hammering Davidson 83-52. SWEET!
March Madness 2015 Schedule
March Madness 2015 continues this coming Thursday, March 26, 2015. Here is a complete schedule for you all to review.
I have been trying to tweet out as early as possible when write-ups and selections are available on the site, but in case you are not on Twitter at that moment, please check the site an hour or so before tip-off(s).
Hopefully the guys can keep the winners coming in the Sweet 16 and beyond. Please give each of them a follow on Twitter if you haven’t already done so.
Thanks,
Pez
