For Your Consideration: College Basketball January 8, 2015
FIU’s schedule has been weak this season, only 5 games were worthy of having spreads, which may explain the over 50% shooting in their last 4 out of 5 games. When they did play a team with a pulse (games that had spreads), they shot under 40% in most of them and won only one.
Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis Jr was pissed over their ugly loss to UAB in their previous game and from what I read he came down pretty hard on his players, so I expect a big effort from the Blue Raiders tonight. MTSU had an off night vs UAB where they shot only 26% from the field, considering they average 40% for the season I expect this anomaly to even its self out with a much better shooting performance.
At the end of the day we are comparing apples and oranges from a stats perspective. The Blue Raiders have played a much tougher and competitive non-conference schedule, and with motivation looming, I expect a big performance. Lay the points.

Correction to my article. “They won only two games where the games had a spread applied to it. Sorry for the screw up. The line is now -5.5 which is a little alarming to me. We shall see. Greg
Greg,
Will these articles on NCAAB in the Saturday Edge going to continue throughout the remainder of NCAAB season?
Will others such as Pez, GoSooners and SabertVii contribute analysis and picks to college basketball?
Will the Saturday Edge eventually go to a yearly fee for college basketball info and plays?
Thank you.
hopefully not Pez!
I added the picture 🙂
