Im suffering from sticker shock after seeing, notre dame +24 at fsu. How can fsu be giving 24 points to notre dame?
I agree Scott. I think Notre Dame might be getting a little undervalued this year. Which is rare for them.
Does anyone else think Auburn is getting WAY too much love? I mean Auburn -7 vs. South Carolina, Auburn -6.5 vs. LSU? Using last year’s numbers, I have Auburn -2 vs. LSU and -2.5 vs. USCe.

I’m not bearish on Auburn and believe they’ll have another good team this year. But I do agree they seem to be getting a little too much love from the linemaker(s). They won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year and I can’t imagine there is anyway they repeat last year’s “luck.”
Last year they were dogs six times, including four times as DD dogs. These GOY lines have them as (short) dogs twice, both on the SEC road.
I guess by bearish I mean I anticipate them winning 8 or 9 games. That by most standards is a great year.
It looks like the Oklahoma Sooners are just “slightly” out point in a few games, or is it just me?
Doug, if you mean are the Sooners slightly overvalued in a few games? Sure they are. Every team in the country who is favored in all of their games is overvalued in some way. The problem is finding where they are overvalued. Once you get past the first week of football, that’s when things start to become a little unpredictable. Anytime a team is favored by double digits in virtually every game they’ll play, they have the impossible task of living up to those games. Ain’t gonna happen. Same way with FSU and Bama. My bet is between these 3 teams, there are not only going to be some closer than expected games, there will probably be a couple outright losses. Pez and I both believe in the 10/80/10 rule. And 10% of the time a team isn’t going to live up to expectations. And 10% of the time they’ll play over their heads. But that rule also applies to their opponents. And you better believe the top 4 teams are going to get everybody’s best shot. Especially top dog FSU, who has a big target on their backs this season. An unfamiliar role for the Noles…
I would lay Auburn -7 vs SCar in a heartbeat…not overvalued there and probably undervalued
You can’t go by last year’s lines with them because oddsmakers had them wrong all year long…they covered their last 10 games!!!
If you go by last year’s lines, then you’re essentially going off of “wrong” lines, which will then screw you up this year

btw-the following week -7 @ Ole Miss is where they’re overvalued, but I get the feeling that if they’re rolling and blow out SCar the previous week you’ll get +7.5 or more so no need to play that this early

GS.. Pardon the type-o as i meant to say it looks like the Sooners are “outpointed” in a few contests. Some of those road contests may prove interesting at the least this year.
I hear the defense is looking very good for the Sooners this time around. They sure look like a contender at this point.
This is definitely no knock against the Sooners because I felt their lines were a little too high in the first place. Especially considering the lack of experience they have coming back at RB and WR. But every one of OU’s opening Golden Nugget lines have moved against them. So the sharps aren’t quite as high on the Sooners as maybe the public or the media is. On the other hand, no team has had the lines move in their favor as much as TCU so far. And I believe a couple of those lines have crossed some key numbers. Which is a pretty big deal in June.
obtw i think that Louisville and Miami game will have the home team Louisville will be about a 4 point favorite over the Cannes?
