UTSA Football 2013 Spring Wrap Up

UTSA Football 2013 Spring Wrap Up

Spring Summary

For UTSA, the spring was about the depth on the defense, specifically the defensive line, being too much for the depth on offense, specifically the offensive line. In one-on-one drills, I would say that the skill positions on the offense won a fair share of the battles against the defense, but in team drills, the defense was too much for the offense due to more depth in the trenches. UTSA was without both starting guards and are still not quiet deep enough on the offensive line as a new program. Because of that, it was all defense this spring during the scrimmages and the spring game.
