Toledo finished the 2012 season at 9–4 and went 6–2 in MAC play to finish in a tie for second place in the West Division. They lost to Utah State 41-15 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Rockets opened spring practice on March 14 and will end with the spring game on April 12.
