2013 Washington Spring Preview
After a 3-4 start last year against on of the tougher schedules in the country, the Huskies went 4-2 down the stretch and were only a few plays away from running the table. Helping us out with our 2013 Washington spring preview is Bob Condotta, the University of Washington football beat writer for The Seattle Times.
The only the Huskies compete with Oregon and Standford is the following:
1. Keith Price must get better or be replaced by game 3.
2. Defensive line must find a pass rush-opposing QB have all
day to pass and find receivers.
3. Offensive line must improve QB protection & open holes.
4. Defensive Seconday must improve pass coverage.
5. DC must find a way to defend against the spread offense.
6. The Recieving core must get better, teams just cover AJ
and KW and passing game is stopped.
7. Kicking game must improve in field goals-lost WSU & Bosie
State games.
Thanks for the comment Larry. You and Bob seem to be in agreement on most of your points. I know for myself, the handful of times I saw UW play last year, offensive line play was terrible.
Price certainly appeared to regress last year compared to 2011, but w/ that OL he didn’t get a lot of time either.
