Pezgordo’s College Football Picks – YTD: 82-68 ATS

Well that sucked, another strong start spoiled by a bad Saturday evening. I ended up going 3-5 on the week and my effort to be more selective really backfired on me as I left a lot of winners on the table. Hopefully this week will prove more successful.

pez! what would be your 3 locks for saturdays games? thanks again man!

    • Pezgordo Pezgordo says:

Mark, I’ve only wagered 4 games so far. The two I listed above, NIU -6 & TCU +7.5. I have a few totals I am looking at (OU-TCU & UGA-BAMA) & a few more sides to look at tomorrow (I like UCONN +4.5).

Maybe Wisconsin +3. Better D getting points is always attractive to me. I missed out on Tulsa PK. Also still waiting to see if UGA line goes any higher.

    Pez,

Even though Nevada has struggled at home this season (0-5 ATS), getting +10 in this situation is definitely an attractive wager. Boise’s mediocre (maybe even subpar) offense laying double digits on the road, plus there is a ton of line value as you mentioned.

do you have the challenge thus week ?

What happened to your Tulsa PK pick from earlier in the week? I took them. Should I stand pat or grab UCF +3.5 and hope to hit in the middle?

    • Pezgordo Pezgordo says:

William, that was an early lean, but by the time I actually starting looking at the game it had jumped to 2.5 on me. All my numbers actually favor UCF in this one, but the thing that stood out to me from their last meeting was how badly Tulsa “statistically” beat them (461-235 in yards). UCF benefited from a +2 TO ratio including a pick six.

At +3.5 I would seriously consider middling it.

Awesome run this season! I did middle this bet and came sooooo close. The missed extra point by Tulsa near the end of the 4th qtr caused a tie and then OT. Had they made the extra point then I would have won both sides. It was worth $200 juice risk to have a shot at $2000 if hit in the middle and no significant downside if they did not. Was so close.

      • Pezgordo Pezgordo says:

William, that was a painful loss for me, and in your case a tough miss on a great middle opportunity. Two missed PATs, that crazy punt return and than UCF couldn’t at least force a FG in OT for the push (for me) and middle for you.

Pez, thanks for the BEST BET winners this week. I really liked both those games. I noticed that you mentioned that you also picked NIU -6 and TCU +7.5. Why didn’t you include those in your weekly writeups?

    • Pezgordo Pezgordo says:

Well if it hadn’t been for my usual late night fade I would have ended up w/ a much better day. But all in all I did have a pretty good week. Unlike last week I wagered on several of the games I liked, I just didn’t list them all.

I didn’t list NIU because GS, jimmy & Sabert had already played it, so it just seemed redundant to place it in my write-ups.

I actually liked the OU-TCU total so much that I didn’t want anything to do with the side so I bailed on the entire TCU wager and got off of it by taking OU -5.5 … SWEET MIDDLE!

My best pick of the entire day turned out to be Wisky +3 & ML +135 …. plus a MONSTER side bet w/ OpeningLine. But I really never felt confident enough in the pick to list it. Crazy!

I did lose a UCF +3 wager. WTF happened with that punt? That loss hurt.
