2020 SEC Football Pick of the Week – Week Ten
2020 has just not been a great year for anything.
With our two losses last week we’re now 2-6 on the year which is by far our worst year ever here at DSE.
We’ll be making just one pick this week and it’s a big one, but man, the hits just keep on coming this year.
Week ten…
SEC Pick of the Week: No. 8 Florida vs. No. 5 Georgia (-2.5) in Jacksonville, 3:30pm ET on CBS.
I’m all in on my Gators beating the Bulldogs this weekend. I’ll even be in attendance, socially distanced of course.
The Gators have all the advantages on offense and the Georgia defense is banged up. If there was ever a year for the Gators to pull this off this is it.
Dan Mullen has caught a lot of flak this year for comments about fans, voting rights, and for nearly starting a riot while Kirby Smart has caught flak for his inability to hammer down the quarterback position.
We’ll see how this plays out, but give me something along the lines of a 34-20 Gators win.
Upset alert: Tennessee (-2) at Arkansas, 7:30pm ET on SECN.
The Razorbacks are one of the most surprising teams in the SEC this year. Th Volunteers are about what I expected. And if this was a normal season, this could be Pruitt’s last stand.
But it isn’t and this is 2020 and anything can happen. I think the Hogs have a better than decent chance to pull off the upset here. Sam Pittman might just turn out to be an excellent head coach.
Keep an eye on: No. 7 Texas A&M (-7.5) at South Carolina, 7:00pm ET on ESPN.
Jimbo Fisher and Will Muschamp are friends, we all know this and ESPN will reference that and how they used to patrol the FSU and UF sidelines probably 1,000 times on Saturday.
The difference between the two: Fisher is a jerk and Muschamp isn’t.
Root for the good guys in this one.
Trending up: Rivals.
Florida-Georgia or Georgia-Florida, I don’t care how or what you want to order that…
IT’S TIME FOR THE WORLD’S LARGEST OUTDOOR COCKTAIL PARTY!!!
Socially distanced, whatever.
Trending down: Fights.
If you caught the scrum between Florida and Missouri last weekend maybe you took away from it the exact same thing I did.
While it shouldn’t have escalated to the level it did one thing was clear: Kyle Trask is loved by his coaches and players.
