2019 SEC Pick of the Week – Week Nine

Perfect.
The Florida Gators came back, again, against the South Carolina Gamecocks and won 38-27 in a game that I was never really concerned about.
The Gators’ win, which covered the spread, means that we won our fourth pick of the week in a row and are now in the positive with a 6-5 record on the year.
Let’s do this again shall we?
Week nine…
SEC Pick of the Week: No. 9 Auburn at No. 2 LSU (-10.5), 3:30pm ET on CBS.
If you’ve read anything I’ve written the last year and a half or so about LSU you’ll know I keep waiting for them to call apart.
But they don’t.
I honestly can’t believe they haven’t yet. I also think that if the Gators were to get another shot at them they can beat them.
But it’s Auburn’s turn. I just don’t see Bo Nix and Co. being able to do it. Auburn catches a break with this not being a night game but still, they just don’t have the horses.
Maybe their defensive line disrupts LSU’s offense just enough, but I doubt it.
LSU by three touchdowns or so.
Upset alert: Missouri (-10) at Kentucky, 7:30pm ET on SECN.
It seems like every single year Kentucky beats somebody they’re not supposed to. Last year it was Florida.
This year? Why not Missouri who is coming off a loss to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt!
And besides, Stoops is one of the better coaches in the SEC and deserves good things. Barry Odom, meh, whatever.
Keep an eye on: South Carolina (-4.5) at Tennessee, 4:00pm ET on SECN.
As a head coach Will Muschamp is 7-0 against Tennessee at Carolina and Florida.
Can he make it 8-0?
I don’t see why not.
Trending up: Big games.
Now things are getting real.
As the next two weeks unfold we’ll know exactly who is in control of each division.
Trending down: Officials.
For some reason there has been a lot of talk about the officiating lately. Sure, Tyrie Cleveland held that South Carolina DB for about 50-yards but it still wasn’t as bad as the 2003 Swindle in The Swamp game when the Gators got royally screwed over and over again.
Yes. I’m still bitter.
This crap, while bad, pales in comparison.
