Blues in Regulation +105  1*

The St. Louis Blues will be looking for some payback after a meeting in Montreal that sparked their current three game losing streak.

The main issue with the Blues has been hanging on to the lead this year, and Head Coach Craig Berube has officially addressed it coming into this afternoon’s matchup.

While this seems like an obvious reasoning, I just think that the Blues are a much better built team overall than the Montreal Canadiens, and the revenge factor should allow St. Louis to be at their most focused.

Golden Knights moneyline -127  1*

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been very impressive through winning without even near a full roster, and the system they have in place is very resilient. However, some of the toll may start to take effect today.

Yesterday, we got burned on a two unit play on Dallas, and I can honestly say that the Stars simply do not look like a season ready team. They were extremely slow and there has been nearly zero chemistry in most of their games this year. Yesterday was more so a result of the Stars lack of competence than it was Pittsburgh’s unbeatable nature.

With the Penguins also looking a little disoriented at times (especially in shooting) yesterday, I expect mental and physical fatigue to pile on against a relentless forechecking team like the Golden Knights. Though Vegas has been a little more inconsistent than they would have liked through their first two weeks, they should be well rested and ready to put the pressure on all game long today.

I would encourage a regulation play for those who wish to take the value route, as I think that Vegas will be a few steps ahead of Pittsburgh if they do come out in a way that they are capable of.

Sharks in regulation -105  1*

As much as we are all impressed with Buffalo’s hot start to the season, I think it is safe to say that many believe that the winning pace won’t be extended beyond this. This is not a knock at the Sabres, or an assumption that they will not be a playoff contender this year. This is simply an understanding that Buffalo will have to come back down to earth for at least a short stretch, as it is hard for a rather inexperienced youth core to sustain the resiliency this early in the season.

San Jose is on the other end of things, as they are trying to entirely undo a four game losing streak to start the season.

The Sharks have looked good ever since the return of Evander Kane and Patrick Marleau, and are notorious for being stingy and at times unbeatable at home. Buffalo rightfully took advantage of one of the anticipated weaker teams in the NHL in the Los Angeles Kings, but should also have a tough time in a matchup against what should arguably be the strongest of the California teams to end their California trip.

The Sharks should be able to sit on a lead, and hold the Sabres kids at bay.
