This time of year the NBA can be quite difficult to handicap. Some teams have clinched, some are fighting for seeding and others just looking forward to the offseason.
In this particular game I’m kind of throwing a lot of stats and numbers out the window. It’s the Pelicans’ final game of the season and it gets to be at home, I think they will want to end on a high note and at the very least compete with a lot of effort in front of their fans. Even without Anthony Davis and a slew of injuries they have still been scoring the ball quite well. So I really like getting 9 points at home with an offense capable of putting up a big number.
The Warriors have really turned up into playoff mode the past couple weeks. They have been on a tear beating up on everyone including some tough playoff teams. They finally clinched the top seed in the West and this seems like a good spot for them to not care and have a big let down game especially vs a lower tier opponent. I also think they are going to rest some of their starters or really limit their minutes severely. I would act fast and take the home team and 9 points before anyone on Golden State gets officially ruled out for tonight’s contest.
