The CBB Daily Dunkle – 3/24/18 (YTD 46-48)
Kansas State -1 vs Loyola Chicago
I went Nevada a few days ago against Loyola with a similar line and Loyola pulled the win out. My problem with that game wasn’t the result as much as it was how Loyola played one of their best games to win it. They opened the second half 13-13 from the field, Nevada had a 7 minute drought and yet, Nevada had various opportunities to take the lead in the final minute. Loyola is a team many felt could make a run, but one of these teams are about to punch a final four ticket and they have two buzzer beaters, and a one point victory on their resume thus far. These late game heroics cannot sustain forever. On the KSU side, they just wiped out a resurgent Kentucky team after their two initial comfortable wins in the tournament. Next to noone thought this would be the actual match-up here, but Loyola is getting too much respect again and I’ll lay the small number with KSU.
