The CBB Daily Dunkle 3x 1/23/18 (2-4)
Today, I have three home teams that find themselves in favorable positions. This time of year in CBB Hoops is where home teams find themselves at a greater advantage than earlier in the year. It is difficult to win on the road in CBB, especially within the division, so throughout the season you can find a few points here and there that lean in your favor with home/road match-ups.
Live Dog Alert! First game for today is Rider vs Fairfield +2.5. This line is moving quick in favor of Fairfield, so get on this number while you can. These two played a few weeks back in Rider’s gym and Rider cruised to a 19 point win. I personally love when two teams who are only about 3-4 points different on a neutral court, have one game decided by 15+ points and then meet again. Rider played one of its most complete games of the season vs Fairfield in it’s own gym, but I expect Fairfield to come out with good energy and hold serve throughout tonight. Don’t let the numbers fool you into Rider here, Fairfield who got some confidence with its most recent home win, will keep the confidence flowing into tonight’s game.
Fairfield +2.5
Iowa -1.5 at home vs. Wisconsin is a solid play as well. This line opened at 1 and I certainly expect this line to continue moving in favor of Iowa. Iowa severely under-performed vs. Rutgers, and was then just outmatched against Purdue, but stays home to host Wisconsin. Iowa has lost 5 of it’s last 6 with it’s sole win coming at Illinois (worst team in the Big Ten). This game for Iowa though is at home and against a below average Wisconsin team who struggles mightily on the road. This game is a must win for Iowa to keep any hopes of a dance ticket in hand for March, and I expect them to play this game like it’s there last.
Iowa -1.5
Mississippi -2 vs. Alabama. Alabama has been playing very well of late winning 3 of 4, but 3 of those games were in their own gym. Collin Sexton for Alabama will be a game time decision, but doens’t look promising for him to play. Alabama has won two straight without it’s star freshman, but both of these games were at home. In true roads games, Alabama is not the same team plays considerably worse than at home. I expect Mississippi who has been very competitive in both recent road losses will right the ship tonight at home.
Mississippi -2
