Canadiens/Bruins:
This is the greatest rivalry in hockey, and lately the Boston Bruins have had the upper hand, winning three straight.
As bad as the Montreal Canadiens have been, they are beginning to budge a little bit on offense, which is something they have struggled with all season so far. The Habs will continue to be without Phillip Danault, and will continue to try Hudon and Baron on the top line with Patch. Julien spread the depth through the lineup in yesterday’s practice. I expect them to work on a few things coming off their most recent OT loss against Boston just a couple of days ago coming off the bye week.
The Bruins have seen their CORSI go down a bit in the last two games, and it is only natural for a team to lose the puck possession momentum at times. Montreal is starting to rise in that aspect, as they generated over 50 shots on goal against the Islanders, but were not as sharp as the Islanders. Practice makes better, and I expect more cohesion to happen on offense with each game. Also, the Bruins have a game against the Islanders tomorrow, which they know will likely be a high energy game. Subconsciously, they may not be taking this game as seriously as the Habs.
Canadiens moneyline +160 2*
