Illinois is coming off a 19 point loss to Wisconsin but is back at home with a week to prepare for its showdown with Michigan State. On the flip side Michigan State is coming into this game winning 3 in a row. With their latest victory being a 13 point defeat of the Wolverines in Michigan. The bandwagon is filling up for Michigan State who underachieved for most of the season. After their 3 latest wins they received some votes for the top 25. Michigan States last loss came at home to this Illinois team 2 weeks ago. Illinois is a week removed from their thumping against a solid Wisconsin team. They’ve played 2 games with Rayvontte Rice back in the lineup and with the extra week to prepare for this game I believe the team gels and puts it together on the court. Not to mention Illinois just matches up well vs Michigan State. Both teams are very similar.

That might be why Vegas opened this game up at a pick’em.. The line quickly moved to Michigan State -1.5. This morning it was bet up to -2.5, and you can even find some -3’s at books like 5Dimes. So when betting Illinois were getting a team Vegas considered a pick em at +2.5, good value on a team that has won their last 4 at home. I expect this game to come down to the wire and those extra 2.5 points could be the difference in this one.
