2014 SEC Power Rankings – Week Nine
SEC EAST
1. Georgia (6-1, 4-1, SEC) – The Bulldogs took care of Arkansas over the weekend and are now attempting to have Todd Gurley reinstated before the Florida game. The season may rest on the NCAA’s decision.
Next game: Saturday, November 1st against Florida in Jacksonville.
2. Missouri (5-2, 2-1, SEC) – The Tigers scored four return touchdowns in their 42-13 win over the Gators last week. They’re No. 2 by default.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th against Vanderbilt.
3. Kentucky (5-2, 2-2 SEC) – The Wildcats came crashing down to earth last weekend with a 41-3 drubbing at the hands of LSU. Things aren’t going to be any easier this week either.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th against Mississippi State.
4. South Carolina (4-3, 2-3 SEC) – The Gamecocks took care of business against Furman last week and now it’s time to continue theirs in the SEC.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th at Auburn.
5. Florida (3-3, 2-3 SEC) – The Gators are a mess and Will Muschamp’s career at Florida might just come down to the Georgia game in two weeks.
Next game: Saturday, November 1st against Georgia.
6. Tennessee (3-4, 0-3 SEC) – The Volunteers have shown promise this year but it’s clear they’re still a year or so away. They can shock the world this weekend though.

7. Vanderbilt (2-5, 0-4 SEC) – The Commodores were off last week and now they have to travel to Missouri. They just might get their first SEC win on Saturday.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th at Missouri.
SEC WEST
1. Ole Miss (7-0, 4-0 SEC) – The Rebels took care of business against the Vols but they looked sluggish at times while doing it. They won’t be able to rest this weekend either.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th at LSU.
2. Mississippi State (6-0, 3-0 SEC) –The Bulldogs were off this past weekend and now they get to travel to Kentucky to play the surprise team of the East.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th at Kentucky.

Next game: Saturday, October 25th against South Carolina.
4. Alabama (6-1, 3-1 SEC) – The Crimson Tide leveled Texas A&M 59-0 last weekend and looked like the Alabama we’ve expected them to be while doing so. The next two weeks will tell us a lot.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th at Tennessee.
5. LSU (6-2, 2-2 SEC) – The Tigers can mess everything up for the SEC this week if they knock off Ole Miss this weekend. That’s been easier said than done so far this year though.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th against Ole Miss.
6. Texas A&M (5-3, 2-3 SEC) – The Aggies got smashed in Tuscaloosa and they’ve got issues as a result. Luckily for the Aggies though, they essentially have two weeks to figure them out.
Next game: Saturday, November 1st against UL-Monroe.
7. Arkansas (3-4, 0-4 SEC) – The Razorbacks have now lost sixteen straight SEC games and to keep it from getting to twenty they’re going to have to get past Mississippi State, LSU, Ole Miss or Missouri. But for this week at least, they should win easy.
Next game: Saturday, October 25th against UAB.
