I definitely agree with Tennessee being the most improved. They bring back a good number of starters from a team that wasn’t as awful last year as some make them out to be.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the gamecocks of south Carolina. My logic being Marcus lattimore is back and has a lot to prove to everyone. He is going to have to have a monster seasons to prove that he is the back we saw his freshman season, and I believe he has the mentality and drive to come back very strong. If lattimore comes back strong USC as a whole comes back as a strong ball club and an east competitor.

Otis, the Vols also have a pretty good schedule getting FL, Bama and Missouri at home. Though they also have some tough road games (Georgia, Miss St & South Carolina). I think we’ll get a pretty good indication of how much the Vols have improved when they take on a good NC State team in the opener.

I definitely agree with your assessment of South Carolina. With (if?) Lattimore back to full strength to go along with that defense, the Gamecocks will challenge Georgia for the East title.
