2014 SEC Team Preview – LSU
I feel like every other year, when people mention who is going to come out of the SEC, LSU somehow gets overlooked. “They lost too many starters. They don’t have a QB. The ground and pound doesn’t win football games anymore. Les always blows the big games.”
Well let me remind you, LSU is in the top echelon of football factories in the country. They will reload, and they will be good. Damn good.

LSU is my sleeper in the West this year (to the extent LSU can be considered a sleeper 🙂 … I agree with everything you’ve written about LSU, this will be a very talented football team that will outperform, as Lester tends to do when his teams are a little overlooked. I’ve seen the tape on Leonard Fournette and he is legitimately deserving of the hype. I think you’re right about LSU pounding the rock; playing John Chavis defense and winning ball games on superior talent vs almost every team they play. I believe Auburn will get payback this year at home, but love the situation you refer to the following week against the Gators, particularly if the Tigers lose, they won’t lose twice in a row…
