The college football bowl season opens this Saturday, so we decided we would try something a little different for our weekly Premium chat and open it up to all our readers.
We usually put up a “suggested” list of the order of the games we are going to discuss, but since we never really followed it anyhow, just fire away on whatever bowl game you want to talk about.
And of course, the more questions about any bowl game that The Conference of Champions is participating in, the better. 🙂

MAXIMIZE YOUR EDGE
Here are the plays I like this Bowl season with the spread and my line next to it. I haven’t played any of these yet as I like to wait closer to gametime, just some early thoughts.
USC -6 1/2 by 15
Utah St. +1 1/2 by 5
Notre Dame -15 by 24
Miami +3 1/2 by 4
Georgia Tech +3 by 1
Arizona St. -14 by 21
Duke +11 1/2 lose by 3
North Texas -6 1/2 by 14
Central Fla. +16 1/2 lose by 8
Oklahoma +15 lose by 5
Houston +2 1/2 by 3
Auburn + 8 1/2 by 7
For the Monday Bowl I have East Carolina 12 points better than Ohio and adding 2 points for a tougher schedule(Sagarin)make them a 14 point favorite. East Carolina has the edge in 3 out of the 4 categories I look for. Line as of this morning is 14 so it’s a no play for me.
I have 2 lines for the bowl games and my other line has East Carolina by 13.
For Tuesday my lines are Boise St by 2 and Oregon St. by 6. Stat edge to Boise but big schedule edge for Oregon St. Another no play for me.
On the games above I listed earlier I changed alot of them to no plays so if it’s ok I’ll update these come closer to gametime with my new ratings
Thursday Bowl PLAYS
6 point teaser- Utah St +7 1/2 and Maryland +8 1/2 (1 unit)
Thursday lines – BG by 5 and by 7. Big schedule edge for Pitt. makes this a no play for me.
Utah St. by 5 and a pick’em. Even on stats but a 5 point schedule edge makes Utah St the likely winner but not by much. Even though the high totals in the colleges make teasing a poor proposition because the 3 and 7 aren’t worth as much as in the NFL, it still can be + ev in some situations.
If lose the teaser will probably come back with a 1 unit play on Maryland tomorrow at +2 1/2 or +3 if line goes there.
Friday Bowls- Maryland pending in a teaser +8 1/2
No play on the other two
Saturday Bowls- Notre Dame -14 (1 unit) ML is ND by 25 and 25
Miami, Fla +3 1/2 (1 unit) ML is pk and Miami by 4.
No plays on the other two–ML is N.C. by 4 and 4 and Kansas St. by 5 and 9
I had Maryland too Tony. Marshall played one of the best field position games I have ever seen.
