YTD 24-24

.500 record, so the next 3 weeks plus bowls will make or break the season.  Really upset with last week as I felt it was the worst capping week of the season for me. I did go 3-4, but I didnt like some of the reads. Looking for a strong bounceback this week. Remember to check the weather report for your games, as there could be some nasty weather in parts of the country.

Oregon 20.5 at Arizona

Oregon has some life put back into them. The Stanford loss has them in the driver’s seat to win their division and win the Pac 12 again. You might have read that Josh Huff and De’Anthony Thomas both said going to the Rose Bowl isnt a big deal, but winning a Pac 12 Title was still one of their goals on the way to a BCS Championship. They can still attain that and I think the coaching staff will let them know the importance of that as well. I think that Oregon gets back to their blowout ways here. They just played two defenses and teams that have a style that bothers them. Tough interior teams in Stanford and Utah. Now Oregon goes back to what I call, a normal Pac 12 team, with not much defense.  I think they put up their usual 45+ here. On the other side, Arizona is still mostly Kadeem Carey and once they get down, they will have to look to pass the ball around. BJ Denker has improved in the passing game but he still isn’t fully developed and will make mistakes once down giving Oregon a short field and extending their lead more and more. I see Oregon in a cakewalk here.

Baylor -9.5 at Oklahoma St

The big matchup of the weekend. This is simply a game where I feel Oklahoma St defense will give up alot of points and Oklahoma St’s passing offense is not their strength.  I can see Baylor pulling ahead in the 3rd qtr and Oklahoma St making mistakes trying to go toe to toe and Baylor cruising after that. Oklahoma St has a good defense, but I do rate them as elite. They are not good enough to slow down the Baylor offense for me and I see Baylor maybe starting slow and then pulling away late..Oklahoma St can make mistakes when forcing to pass the ball as well and I see them making a turnover or two when they have to play catch up and Baylor winning easy after maybe a scare to start.

Iowa St -5 vs Kansas

I think this line is a little short here. I feel like Iowa St does not want to go 0 for in conference and will be looking for a win. It is Senior Night and Iowa St has 20+ seniors on the squad and they have been itching for a win during their 7 game losing streak, making it all more important to get their best effort. I believe Kansas gave a similar effort last week at home vs WVU. They got that W out of the way and probably celebrated.  I dont feel like Kansas is a squad looking to build on wins, rather happy they got one and celebrated. Sam B. Richardson should be good to go here and Iowa St is healthier than they have been in the past weeks and look for them to get their seniors a win here.
