Oregon State vs. Washington

When betting college football in mid to late November it can get pretty tricky.  By this time, teams can smell bowl berths and know exactly what they need to get done.  Sometimes we forget, that 6 wins only qualifies you for a bowl, it does not guarantee you one.

That being said, I believe Oregon State is in big trouble of not receiving an invitation, even though they have 6 wins.  If the Beavers do not beat UW Saturday, it would put them in a 4 game losing streak (let’s be honest…they aren’t winning the Civil War) and I believe they will be home for December.

Here are some key reasons I like the Beavers this weekend: Please note: I am aware that UW has only 6 wins, but I’m going out on a limb and saying their game against WSU next week is much easier than OSU’s Civil War opponent.

Huskies QB Keith Price is highly doubtful to play and if he does he’ll be at 70% at best.

Last home game for the Beavers.

Revenge…last year the Beavers were undefeated before getting beat in Seattle.  UW created 5 turnovers in the game.

I like the Beavers in Corvallis to beat the Dawgs.

Ole Miss vs. Missouri

Mississippi will be playing their last home game…senior night.  This is a team that starts 8 seniors and

has a reputation of playing very well at home (at least this year).  If the rebels can win this game it will

give them 8 wins and a chance to finish the season with 9 victories, which could lead to a New Year’s

bowl game.

9th ranked Missouri is coming off an easy win and will be playing their second consecutive road game.

This is a late start game, giving the Rebel fans a few more cocktails and tailgating hours to get crazy.

That being said, this will rank as one of my best plays of the year.  Getting points at home is way too

generous.  And yes….once again only 23% of the country agrees with me.  Just the way I like it.

Consider-

Oregon State -3

Ole Miss +3
