YTD 21-20

Tough week last week. I thought I was on the right side of the LSU game. Some unlucky plays for LSU and the game should have been closer than the scoreline, but being on the right side does not matter in the end. Luck will bounce your way and go against you. Winning is all that matters.

Kansas St -10(buy hook) vs TCU

This is my favourite play of the week. I was hoping the line would come out a little lower, but the books did a decent job with this line. These are two teams moving in the wrong direction. I think we have been mostly suprised with the way TCU has played this year. I remember saying in the Texas Tech game earlier this year that TCU has such a poor offensive line and they are gonna have trouble scoring and that has been the case. I wanted to see what Pachall did when he got back and while he is an upgrade over Boykin, TCU still has trouble bc of that poor offensive line. TCU has struggled mightily this year. Their 4 wins have been against Kansas, Tulsa, SE Louisiana and a banged up Iowa St squad. Kansas St meanwhile has been going up and up and Daniel Sams has now gotten enough starts under his belt and you have seen improvement from that offense steadily. Bill Synder also will have his guys playing tough to the last minute of the season and they do have a bowl eligibility with a win here. Not sure what TCU’s mindset is here…they would need to beat KState and Baylor to get bowl eligible and while Gary Patterson has had some success, his teams have had their share of off the field issues, which leads me to believe that there is a chance they could have mailed it in a little bit if they get down here.

Kansas State QB Daniel Sams

Houston +16 at Louisville

Houston is coming off a tough loss vs UCF, but they did show well there and are 5 yards away from leading the AAC.  Louisville has shown us all year that they just play down to their competition and while they should be blasting teams out of the water, they seem to let them hang around. I also don’t like that they aren’t explosive as I would like for a team to be 16 pt favourites vs a decent/good football team. I also like that Houston is the type of team that can score late to get a backdoor cover. My only concern is if Houston has anything left in the tank.

Nebraska +7(might have to buy hook at some places)  vs Michigan St

I think this is too many points for Michigan St to be laying on the road. Nebraska has laid some stinkers but I feel you should get their best effort is what will give the winner the inside track to the Big Ten Legends Division title. I feel like I am fading Michigan St at their highest point right now.  Everyone was impressed by their dismantling of Michigan but as we can see, Michigan isn’t a good football team and Michigan’s offensive line troubles were more of an indication of that game than anything for me.  The last 2 years have brought close games between the two and I look for the same here with the game going down to the wire.
