For your consideration: Arkansas +6

“I didn’t mean it like that”

Well once again, Spurrier opens his big mouth concerning Jadeveon Clowney’s injuries and creates media frenzy , developing strife in the locker room and a back peddle response two days later.  With the Gamecocks already in a challenging spot, heading into a 3 game road stretch, this is one problem they do not need.

Distractions can be huge in college athletics.  20 year old kids have homework, girlfriends, over drafted bank accounts and frat parties on their mind.  They don’t have time to worry or think about #1 draft pick teammates who are being perceived as selfish by their coaches and peers.

But…as they always say, “one man’s loss, is another man’s gain.”  And in this case the gain represents “us” cashing our Arkansas +6 ticket.  Not that we need any more reasons, but here are a few more points to support this winning bet:

  • If you haven’t figured it out by now, “winning on the road in the SEC is very difficult.”
  • Again, coaches get the attention of their players’ much easier coming off a loss (Gators beat the Razorbacks 30-10).
  • The Gamecocks are banged up on both sides of the ball.
  • Arkansas looks to avenge last year’s loss, with 8 defensive starters back from previous season.

There are too many injuries and headlines for the Gamecocks to put forth a serious effort this Saturday.  I like Arkansas in front of their 72,000 faithful.  I’ll gladly take the 6 points.

Consider: Arkansas +6

Looks like a sharp play Greg. I am definitely thinking about making a play here on Arkansas. I was hoping to get 7 or 7.5 but it don’t look like that’s going to happen unless maybe a bunch of services release S. Carolina as a play Saturday morning. Line opened S Car. -7 and has now moved to 5 and 5.5 at most books with almost 70% of public on S.Car hmm RLM. Good luck this weekend.

Arkansas have been whacked by a team that is in turmoil and injuries!!
    What the ………!!
Is there an explanation for this occurrence??

  3. tnvolfan says:

Arkansas is one dimensional and the only reason I did not put a wager on this. I knew if S. Carolina could stop the rushing game of Arkansas they would be in trouble.

  4. tnvolfan says:

Arkansas was 4-13 passing for a GRAND TOTAL 30 yards passing!!!

A handicapper’s worst nightmare. Not only losing a pick, but losing by a million points. Making it look like you have no business giving out free picks at all. You should bet against Arkansas from here on out. They are clearly the worst team in the SEC.

I was on Arkansas last week and thought it was a great play, too. Who knew that South Carolina was going to play the game of their lives? This is college football, sometimes you can play what looks like the best play on the card and it loses because one team steps up whenever you least expected them to. That is why they call it gambling. Bielema is a good coach and will have this team back winning games, or covering where we least expect it.

No worries Greg anyone that bets college football is going to be on the wrong side of some blow-out losses like this one but the good thing about it is it’s only one game no big deal. With out researching last weeks plays I am pretty sure you put out Wake Forest + the points vs NC State when the World was on NC State and Wake won outright so I don’t think you need to beat yourself up too bad & bounce back strong this week. Good Luck this week…………
