In Game Focus: A Week Three Shootout (Oregon State at Utah)
Two potent offenses matched against two suspect defenses promise the kind of back and forth scenario that lends itself to in-game opportunities. If Oregon State would happen to get off early I’d be especially drawn in because Oregon State’s issue with offensive line depth will bias me toward Utah over the game’s last 6:00.
Oregon State at Utah in-game Strategy
So my strategy for this one is simple. I’ll be looking to get the first Utah +4 or more I see, and the first Oregon State +7 or better. If I haven’t taken a side in the first half I probably won’t bet the game at all–although getting Utah +10 to stage a late rally would certainly
tempt me as a one-way play. Presuming I’ve only got one of my numbers in the first half I’ll be looking to close the loop all the way to game’s end as I want to benefit from a wild finish.
If Oregon State would happen to jump out to a two score lead in the first quarter, and there’s a moneyline offered on this game (there may not be), I will probably take the Utah plus price and sell it right back for any Oregon State plus price. That play, of course, would have to be in addition to the play triggered by Utah becoming available at +4.
