Bulldogs Can’t Win!

The critics have spoken, and they have determined that Georgia is unworthy.

“The Georgia Bulldogs proved once again they cannot handle the big stage.” 

“They were never worthy of a preseason top 5 ranking.” 

“When it comes to big games, Aaron Murray lacks the leadership and determination.” 

“Coach Mark Richt will not coach next year,”

Adding fire to the fuel is Aaron Murray’s record in big games. The senior signal caller is a horrific 1-6 vs. top 10 teams as a Bulldog.

If the national headlines are correct, then this week’s game against Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks will be another disappointing loss for the Bulldogs.  Especially when looking at last year’s dismal stats.  Here’s a quick snapshot of the 2012 Bulldogs vs. Gamecocks slaughter…I mean matchup.

• Georgia scored in the last 2 minutes to avoid shutout. 
• Defense gave up over 230 rushing yards
• Murray only completed 30% of his passes for 109 yards.
• 21 points scored by the S. Carolina in the 1^st quarter.
• 35 unanswered points.  Final score 35-7.
• UGA’s only regular season loss of the year.

BUT…That was last year and although the Bulldogs may have started off on the wrong foot by losing their opening game to Clemson, it will (if anything) bring a much more focused and intense week of practice.  And they will need it.  With their dynamic wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell out for the season and the never ending talent of South Carolina, a good week of preparation is a must.

Soooo….why on earth, would you bet the Bulldogs?  Perhaps you need to re-read this article.
